From there it sends out the wireless signal straight to the headset. You have the receiver that uses an industry standard optical TOSLINK cable. It's Wireless and does up to 7.1 surround sound (on PC's and PS3) without use of special hardware.

I use (as I stated) the Ear Force Delta headset. It's not just the newer models.Īs regards the headsets. And sorry, but I call BS on the data integrity or security claims when it comes to why they don't allow standard hard drives.Īny 360 that has been kept up to date can use flash drives.

Xbox 360 s console hard drive Bluetooth#
Sorry if I was mistaken on the memory cards (I forgot that newer 360s could use flash drives instead of being limited to the older proprietary memory cards), and I should have been more clear that I was referring to being able to use standard bluetooth headsets (not wired headsets or ones that have to use extra hardware to be wireless). I mean seriously it's like you just wanted to ramble off some random MS hate and didn't bother to check whether you were even in the same universe as having a legitimate response. Hmm sounds like I can use those items any way I wish doesn't it? Why would you make an accusation that is as easily proven incorrect as that? In fact I use my Ear Force Delta's on my PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The headsets can be treated the same way. In fact those same flash drives (since you can use just about any drive off the shelf) can be used on any hardware that supports it. I can't go into the detailed specifics (obviously for security purposes), but there is a reason why Microsoft has created a closed environment, and it's not about greed.Īs regards memory cards, you do know that you can just use any standard flash drive on the market right?Īs regards headsets, hmm my Ear Force Delta set would tend to disagree with you there. Hard drives, memory cards, headsets - all have to be Microsoft's proprietary crap instead of standard hardware that you can buy anywhere.Īctually the "reason" (since we're using air quotes for some reason) for the hard drive has to do with data integrity & security on the platform. The same thing applies to nearly EVERY accessory for the 360. I have seen youtube videos of people using 500GB+ internal hdds with their RGH xboxes and I read that HDDHackr is only for people who use retail hard drives for their unmodded xboxes. The "reason" was simple greed. These are the HDDs compatible to use as Xbox360 internal HDDs:WD800BEVT - 80GBWD1600BEVT - 160GBWD2500BEVT - 250GBWD3200BEVT - 320GBWD1200BEVS - 120GBWD2500BEVS - 250GBWD1600BUDT - 160GBWD2500BUDT - 250GBWD3200BUDT - 320GBWD1600BEKT - 160GBWD2500BEKT - 250GBWD3200BEKT - 320GBWD1600BPVT - 160GBWD2500BPVT - 250GBWD3200BPVT - 320GBWD1600BJKT - 160GBWD10TPVT - 1TBSo the best option is to Leve your 320 Internal HDD in your xbox and get another any bigger hdd, but connect it to xbox via DVD sata or USB.

Xbox 360 s console hard drive free#
You can use bigger HDDs in your RGH/JTAG with all free space but as mentioned it will not be the same as Original Xbox360 internal HDD (You can't use DLC from this drives if they are not configured with HDDSS.bin). The highest HDDSS.bin for Xbox360 is 320 GB, so even if you use 1 TB HDD your console will recognize it as 320 GB only. You need to hack this HDD with HDDHacker v1.30 and you need to use correct HDDSs.bin file. You see normal HDD is not the same as Original Xbox360 hard drive. Yeah, yeah, but what they didn't tell you is that you will not be able to use DLC from this HDD. So the best option is to Leve your 320 Internal HDD in your xbox and get another any bigger hdd, but connect it to xbox via DVD sata or USB. These are the HDDs compatible to use as Xbox360 internal HDDs:
